Mission Statement

The Ann Sherry Foundation is a charitable organization, which acknowledges the community service of Ann Sherry, an author and educator, who dedicated her life to helping children, the infirm, and her community.

The Foundation focuses its charitable and educational efforts in three areas.  The first is education, where the Foundation is interested in providing funding for innovative and technological approaches to public education.  The second is international and cultural exchange, where the Foundation seeks to promote world peace by contributing to a better understanding among America and its world neighbors.  The third is to address community social problems, where the Foundation seeks to use grants to improve the welfare of the citizens of Ohio.

All of the resources and efforts of the Foundation are to address these objectives.  While grants are envisioned as the primary vehicle to accomplish its aims, the Foundation may also use direct funding and technical support as appropriate.  The Foundation will seek, in as much as is prudent, to favor requests which address two or all three of these objectives simultaneously.  It will also attempt to leverage its funds by favoring projects in which it can match other funds or resources that that might otherwise not be available to address these objectives.
